Although takotsubo cardiomyopathy mimics symptoms of an acute coronary event, in most cases it is a reversible cardiomyopathy with no long-term effects. Echocardiography is the noninvasive test of choice for initial presentation and follow-up of this syndrome. A case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy is presented and its clinical signs, echocardiographic features, and management discussed.enArticle
